Meh. I had three years of sleeping separately, not being affectionate, never doing any non-family things, and my kids didn't even notice. Thus they were completely shocked when we announced I was moving out.[/quote]

+1. Kids did not notice. It was always like that. Normal is relative. Could not do it forever. Divorced. But really living separately for YEARS in the same house did not even register with the kids.[/quote]

Yep.  Parents slept in separate bedrooms. Totally normal for me.  My dad snored and my mother didn't want to sleep with him.  They are still married though. [/quote]
