more--and I say this as someone who spent time teaching underserved kids.  Children should never go hungry.  Children should never go homeless.  But, I have also seen what pouring money into federal programs does.  Do you know what happens?  Bureaucrats peel off money at every level.  Very little gets to the bottom.

Of course, there should be food programs, housing programs, etc.  But, we already have those.

Jobs are the key.  Taxes, not so much.

Some seem to think that raising taxes on the rich will solve the problem--until you realize that you may be among the rich.

JUst look at the waste in FCPS.  Look at the number of administrators and office people.  Many of them are there to "manage" programs--not help kids.[/quote]
