Privates want to go first now. You told us it’s safe and everything is fine and to enjoy distance learning. You have been in school since September maybe not five days a week but what about the public school kids? What about those most at risk for falling through the cracks kids? Pathetic wait your turn.
Public school teachers want to go first now. After saying that nothing will be safe and they can teach exactly the same doing distance learning as they can in the classroom. You have been teaching from home and not complaining about it since September but what about the kids you're teaching? The ones who are falling through the cracks? Pathetic that now you want to be ahead of the teachers who have been teaching in person for months now.
The bolded is my gripe. It's not that teachers demanded a safer environment. It's that they refused to acknowledge the cost of safety and blame kids and parents for home DL does not work.
