Ugh, she will be even more unbearable if she’s preggers.
this. feel like she's constantly in the news for no reason.
Yes, this. I've never understood the big deal about her. Yes I know she's super famous overseas but she's been desperate to be super famous in the US for years now. It's just so desperate.
Most celebs are desperate to become and stay famous. Not fair to hold that against her.
I meant she's desperate to become famous in the US and has been doing anything and everything, from ballpoint pen commercials to marrying a Jonas brother. Still I wouldn't consider her to be a big deal here. Career-wise she hasn't had any huge roles, certainly not in the movies.
She is a big Bollywood star and she is not using Hollywood for making it big in Hollywood. She is using Hollywood for connections and being in the public eye. She is fine being a celebrity here as long as she can make connections. Ralph Lauren, Meghan Markle, Indira Nooyi, Satya Nadella, part owner of Indian cricket team, friends with Mindy Kaling and Hasan Minhaj. Democratic party BIG fund raiser for Kamala Harris, investing in vineyards in Maharashtra/France/Italy and California, Jonas Bros music industry connection, 50 Cents pal, Bumble investor, investing in silicon valley and real estate. She is an absolutely astute and hard working business woman who thinks very big. Without having any big roles in Hollywood, she has finagled her way into lots of places and opportunities. So WOW! She is basically a business Tycoon who happens to also be a Bollywood actress. She knows she is too old to be the leading lady in Hollywood (and now also Bollywood) and has her fingers in too many pies to chase old dreams. BTDT. She produces her own movies in Bollywood (The sky is Pink) and markets the hell out of it. She will systematically get everything in life...a kid is next in the checklist. Wildly successful. She thinks like a man. She has also styled herself as a philanthropist - women led businesses as well as UNICEF ambassador.
I love hypocrites calling people out for racism just because they think someone is not beautiful independent of their ethnicity while at the same time using a sexist comment like: She thinks like a man. Boy, you are misogynistic but that’s par for the course I guess. You don’t get to disparagingly refer to white women as skinny white Karen’s and not be called out that you are clearly a triggered Indian woman who plays a role in her culture’s blatant misogyny. Peecee is fat and ugly. Again, when your brand is your look, you invite criticism.
What a nutter. Please point out where that poster wrote anything about white women or Karens... Oh, that's right you can't but you clearly have a hate complex going on about others and yourself.
+1. PP is an idiot, and probably a busted old one at that. PC’s brand is not at all her look, as one of the previous posters explained nicely. She is very much an entrepreneur and has her hand in so many ventures, she doesn’t even need “big movie roles.” Only old school fools still think you need to be a leading lady in regular movies to make money.
I'm not the pp you're referring to, or even calling an 'idiot' - way mature of you, btw. Just a reminder you're talking to multiple people and we don't like her. No amount of rambling off about all of her desperate ventures will change that. No one was saying she doesn't have money, or that you need to be in movies to make money. I was saying she's not a huge movie star, which she is not.
Well she actually has had a long history of being a big movie star, one of the highest paid in her country. She’s famous in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. A toy company in England even made a doll of her. You’re right though, she has not won over the provincial American crowd though. And reasons are obvious.
