OP here. She is 16 weeks pregnant and no. We would never consider any other option besides keeping our child. He was unexpected but a wonderful gift.
Troll. You don’t find out the gender until 20 weeks.
OP here. You can figure out the gender earlier. We found out at 8 weeks.
Insurance doesn't cover that blood test unless you are over 35
OP here. I never said it did. We have paid for multiple tests out-of-pocket.
I call troll. The out of pocket cost for that test if insurance doesn't cover it is thousands of dollars. No one would do that just to find out the gender a few weeks earlier.
OP here. The test just happens to show the gender because it’s a blood test. The NIPT screens for Down syndrome and a wide range of genetic abnormalities, which we paid for extra because we wanted to make sure it was a healthy pregnancy.
OP here. Many insurances cover it regardless of age now for normal pregnancies. We paid a couple of hundred after insurance, but also paid for another test around 1500 out-of-pocket. It was worth it to us to make sure we had a healthy pregnancy.
