Yeah - that was what made her interesting. She eschewed what she'd grown up with except she'd also internalized the values except she also pushed her daughter away when she decided she LIKED that life. She was a hot mess of contradictions![/quote]

Yes, for someone who was apparently so down to earth and not elitist Lorelai sure wanted the best for her daughter and a small town life was not enough. Yet when Rory actively enjoyed that life Lorelai cuts her out.[/quote]
