There has always been 1 MCPS HS criteria based program with test-in features. RMIB. Now there's also Kennedy and Poolesville. No one is talking about those schools because the programs there are new and frankly no one cares about them.
Huh??? There's an IB magnet at Poolesville?
MCPS website has all the answers to all your questions on that.
The MCPS website doesn't show IB magnet at Poolesville, hence the question.
There are test-in magnet programs that are not IB. The three county-wide application programs are Global Ecology at Poolesville, IB at Richard Montgomery, and Visual Arts at Einstein (which I'm assuming is portfolio-based rather than test-based). There are 7 additional application programs that are regional or consortial, some of them housed at multiple schools. https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/curriculum/specialprograms/high/
