I think the majority of private school parents did see this coming. I know I did. We chose private years ago. Regardless of whether the schools were open for 12 days or 12 weeks, the time to get to know their teachers and see classmates was worth it. We could have caught up with friends during sports and activities this fall, but it was very beneficial to have the kids back on campus. The school is fully commited to reopening when they can. I expect the school to reopen for on campus learning during this school year. I don't believe the public schools will have that option in this area. The schools in other states are doing well open on campus. We have the lowest infection rates in the country almost. The school system still can't figure out a plan to reopen. It doesn't leave much hope that things will change soon for the public schools. I'm not laughing at anyone because it simply isn't funny for so many students. [/quote]
