+1 except we're the other way.  I was a moderate R, left the party years ago. DH is a liberal.  This was not about R vs D. This was flat out about morals and integrity, and the kind of person who supports someone like Trump knowing that he was more than just a flawed character.

McCain was a "flawed" character but DH never questioned his integrity or character, ever, so when I was full on planning to vote for McCain, DH did not get upset.  When DH votes straight D ticket, it doesn't bother me one bit.  My vote sometimes cancels his out, and we laugh about it.

Trump OTH, nope. I don't think either of us could respect the other if the other supported Trump. And once you lose respect for your spouse, your marriage is doomed for failure.[/quote]
