You are not supposed to eat animal products during Lent! That is like the only rule the Orthodox church has for Lent. Except for some fish. SOme strict observer will eat fish on certain days during Lent, some will eat is all the time during Lent. Now, you tell me that Catholics are allowed eggs and cheese during Lent? So, in Orthodox church, you can be "vegan" with fish for Lent, but in Catholic, you can eat dairy and eggs, but can you eat fish during Lent? It seems to me like we just invent whatever we want and call it Lent.[/quote]
