OP here. I specifically want to nail down exactly how long the "support the teachers" crowd think they are willing to let this go on.  And curiously, nobody (other than the few who said "as long as there is a pandemic") were able to put any limits on it. They assiduously avoid it. I think there are a lot of them who really don't understand that we may be doing this well into 2021 under the current notion of "not until it's safe." [/quote]

We have answered your question over and over again and you don't like the wander.  I am willing to support this for the next 10 years if I have to.   We'll figure it out and make it work.  This is the education we have available and we are going to make the best of a bad situation.  How we can fix this is people acting responsibly and stop the travel, shopping, eating out, etc.[/quote]

Ha  I agree the posters were being annoying, but they were basically trying to get you to admit that "support our teachers" means that not only aren't we gong back in Feb, this year is completely out of the questions  and maybe next fall 2021 is questionable.  And you just called their bluff and said you were fine with your kids' next classroom being college. So Ok then. But I dare you to post this sentiment on your school facebook page. "Come on y'all  - support our teachers! Even if that means zoom school for ten years, we can do it. YEAH!!!!!!" Double dare?[/quote]
