NP, and sorry for the thread drift, but I'm curious about this. I'm old - got something like a 1420 or 1430 back in the mid 90s, and got in to both Caltech and MIT (chose Caltech). But I think it was a 790 in math, lower in verbal, so I doubt I would have gotten into any Ivies - didn't try. The numbers I hear today are insane...
