To OP—for some reason there is a lot of hate for Ffx Station on DCUM. If you’re looking for a nice family oriented suburban area, you will be happy with the location.  Those of us that live here love that it’s not as dense as the closer in areas and are happy with the schools. There are great parks nearby and some of the neighborhoods connect directly to trails and parkland. [/quote]

1) Burke is a little closer and has more “stuff,” well, nominally more at any rate. 2) Prejudice against South County HS which has more cheap areas feeding into it and higher FARMS rate vs. LB and Robinson which are basically universally middle to UMC. 3) People not understanding that the Fairfax Station area and neighborhoods are changing and starting to attract younger families - when I moved to this area 10 years ago, the homes in Crosspointe, South Run, and some of the other nearby neighborhoods would sit because they were too pricey for many first time buyers, but not updated enough for those who could afford it.
