I wish there was law prohibiting anyone under 25 to marry
This only seems weird if you are in our DCUM bubble where you are a "kid" until a year.or 2 after college. If you are 24 and have been supporting yourself since 18 you are not a kid by 25. You are often exhausted but not immature Then again I know folks who happily got married after 2y of law school and while in medical school that are still going strong at about 24-25. It's not my ideal but their are hardly children!
That’s one downside for me of living in an overachieving area. I value education but I have no patience for spoiled children/adults. I cannot stand the mentality that kids at 20 are “children.” Where I grew up, most kids by 20 were either in the military, driving to college classes from their own apartment, or other. In my mind if kids can’t survive a weekend alone in the house by hs they aren’t ready for life. I’m not going to fully fund college for my kids and they know that (they are young). I read on the college forum and the number of parents who said their kids are sitting home doing nothing was cringeworthy. My kid would be at a grocery store six days a week the summer after college if they couldn’t yet find a job, and they’d be frantically applying to jobs. Flame away.
I think that one gives pause because we really don't know if Bindi was given the opportunity to explore what she was interested in. It was all about the zoo and her Dad. Same with actors who seem to push their children into acting. I think it is fine to expose them but, I think both her parents put a lot of pressure on her to perform and even more so when Steve died.
