Who cares about menstruation? I am an XX woman who doesn't menstruate anymore (IUD). I am soooo grateful for that!! LOL. Menstruation sucks. I would love for my DD to get an IUD that stops menstruation when she is a teen. I have no problem with saying "people who menstruate." As a woman, I have no desire to claim menstruation as some great thing. It's a PITA.
Sounds to me like, because you are a woman, you have had to deal with menstruation and take steps to handle it in your life and assisted your daughter in the same task. It is a PITA, a PITA women have to deal with all over the world.
+1 And you may not care about menstruation but in some cultures as soon as a girl gets her period she is married off to an older man. So it is a big deal around the world and it is an issue for women, not people who menstruate.
In some cultures girls aren't allowed to come to school when they begin to menstruate, leading them to get 25% or more less education than their male counterparts. It's nice you can get your daughter an IUD. Because women advocated for birth control in this country and need to continue to advocate for it for girls all over the world still struggling to get even basic feminine hygiene products.
