While I agree with both of you that I would never do this, SO MANY PEOPLE ARE!  Also, there are lots of high school and college students who lost their summer jobs, so I imagine a sitter wouldn't be hard to find.  I just can't imagine doing this now, but the idea is everywhere and multiple people have posted that this is their plan.[/quote]

A sitter won’t be hard this summer. So many lost restaurant and retail jobs, college kids unable to do internships or travel etc.

Check the parenting boards - with camps closed, many are looking at sitter options so they telework and distribute the childcare load more easily. It’s hardly a radical concept to hire a sitter right now.[/quote]

Most of those people are looking for full time childcare, and most of the people you mentioned are looking to replace actual salaries.   It’s not easy to get someone to commit to coming to your house regularly for 2 hours of work.  [/quote]
