I wonder if it is because of the pedestal (less wobbly and no leg hanging high?) or the oval shape (chairs could be placed to avoid uneven spots?) or a combination of both. The Delft tile around the fireplace in the guest room gets lost with all the olives and mustard colors. I wonder why he chose to do that?
