To the person who wants to know what I like about them: 1) First off, they are seasonally appropriate. They have dark colors/some have sleeves, or all can be worn with a sweater or shawl or wrap of some sort. 2) The first link OP shared...the dress is just all over the place. It's just a stylistic mess. It's like it was pieced together from tat from Grandma's sewing bag. And the color is hideous and not at all right for fall. 3) The second link OP shared...like, peach and white colors for fall? No. There's nothing wrong with that dress, but it IS wrong for a fall wedding in upstate New York. 4) The links the PP posted are all sophisticated and polished. They are form-fitting without being slutty or distracting from the main event: the bride and groom. Again, I'm not a huge fan of the dress in the final link, but at least it makes SENSE for a fall wedding, unlike what OP originally posted.
I'm the PP who asked. I think you're right the second dress OP posted is lovely but not appropriate for a fall wedding. It sounds like with the first dress it's just not your style? I would assume OP likes this designer's mishmash approach since she posted links to two of his dresses. I actually quite like the first dress, and I think it's perfectly appropriate for a fall wedding. (It comes in darker colors, too, if that matters.) Anyway, I appreciate your take, even if I don't agree!
Again, I did not walk into OP's living room, look over her shoulder, and announce "That dress is ugly." She posted a link and *asked for opinions.* Asked and answered. I think it is hideous. The second one she posted, to me, is fine, but not for fall. Asked. And. Answered. OP has since defended the first dress by saying it is "stunning." Well, then go buy your "stunning" dress, and enjoy it! I mean that sincerely. But don't ask for opinions and get mad that someone has the opinion that a dress is ugly.
I did not defend that dress😂 It was other posters.
Oh, so you didn't call it "stunning"?
Nope. Wasn’t me..
OK. Well, I stand by my opinion, and my right to have it. I'm really not sure why you (and others) are mad that I posted my opinion in a thread literally soliciting opinions. I would go with the "second link" in that long series of links the PP with good taste posted, or something similar.
