But phase 1 means nothing if essentially everything is still closed. No summer camps, no kids programming/events, no libraries, movie theaters, pools or splash pads, playgrounds ..... but wow adults can go out to patio brunches again.
You can go to church with half your congregation and Virginia Beach is open. Go figure.
Do NOT even get me started with this church nonsense. What a crock of crap.
Mabel and Harold can get the rona at church, Madison and Kaitlin can get it at the crowded patio bar, and meanwhile pools and splash pads at half or less capacity, and outdoor camps and playgrounds, are “too dangerous.” Nice.
Yes! Let's take away all opportunities for outdoor fun for the kids, and let the adults crowd for a boozy brunch. I'm so angry about this. Either you open up the pools and camps AND the bars and church, or none.
I agree. If was are "all in this together' to stop the spread than Harold and Madision can be just as miserable as the parents & kids. If kids can't go to playgrounds or splash pads where the risk of transmission is basically null, than old people should not be out getting their hair done or eating at restaurants or shopping or any of the other activities that lots of old people are doing right now.
Virginia Beach is open to all. I don’t get it. Pools can manage under CDC guidelines much easier than a beach on Memorial Day weekend. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/parks-rec/aquatic-venues.html
Are the Virginia Beach hotel pools open, too? The state park lake beaches are all still closed. Its like VA is only opening up things that have a lobbyist on speed dial.
