Not only we shut down but we basically forced other smaller/poorer countries to shut down. 
They are expecting MILLIONS of deaths due to this world shut down (famine, malaria, every other disease that got "forgotten" because of Covid-- A disease with a worldwide death rate of 0.003%... ) Ask workers in India, Africa how afraid they are of covid-19.

This was a rich people scare (in your house, watching TV, getting food delivered at your door and complaining you can' t get a delivery slot...). How exciting! 
The ones paying for that nice break are poor in the US and in the developing world... But who cares eh? As long as you got your delivery slot at whole foods 
by staying up until midnight when the new slots open...
