I agree grades are meaningless this year but trust me that lots of kids don't have As.  Many don't have access to technology or the time or the space at home.  Many just stopped working who had Cs or Bs already.[/quote]

I'm just anticipating the parent complaints when the kids realize that they can do 1/2 of the assignments for the next month and earn an A. The parents that wanted their teenagers to do more work are going to be battling with them. [/quote]

Anyone who attempts a single 5 minute assignment (because that is what they typically take) per week will get an A.  Not even do well, [b]attempts.  [/b].  Put your name on the paper once a week for this week and the next 4.   A for you!

This is not our experience, at all, in middle school.My kid has a teacher who is insisting on grading like students are still in the building, going to class 5 days/week and is refusing to allow students to retake any work.

So you need to email administrators and the superintendent if they don’t respond.  That is blatantly against the grading policy for third advisory.[/quote]

I have, and pointed out that it's totally inconsistent with all the DCPS communication. It's like the teacher is punishing the students for remote learning. [/quote]
