Come on fellow ECNL'ers! Now is the time to bring over all the ex-DA players we can. May 1st is Friday. Can't wait!
So honestly, what percentage of ex-DA players do you think will make ECNL? How much ECNL do you think will get bumped?
Honestly, 100% of the DA players can make a ECNL team. What a dumb question. The question should be how many will bother trying?
Enjoy your new league.
ECNL should have done the right thing and rolled all the DAs in when they had the chance. Sorry but it doesn’t look like a talent infusion for your mediocre non-champions league team.
How is that “the right thing” in this case? If you roll every DA in, why not national league teams too?
Umm,because National League didn't have their league blown up by US Soccer? Isn't it obvious why they made the suggestion they did? SMDH
So you have a new league now. You can still call yourselves special. The DA tried to put ECNL out of business. ECNL is supposed to then turn around and bail the DA out?
Correction, US soccer tried to put the ECNL out of business. The clubs made a choice to participate in DA based on the flawed assumption that US soccer had stamina and credibility. Again, there’s a lot more reason for ECNL to have taken the former DA clubs than not to. There’s no reason to take National League clubs in, which was your original statement. Stop moving the goalposts. ECNL has been “special” for quite some time, and there’s no one more “special” on this forum than ECNL parents...
Not moving the goalposts. Ex-DA clubs have a league. The best league. GAL! They don’t need ECNL.
No, ex DA clubs have a league that remains mostly the same as last year with more family friendly rules to match ECNL. That is it. Your kid has a team and league to play in and ex DA kids have a team and league to play in now. Why does that bother you?
It does not. It’s good your DD still has a league and a team. My question is Why is national league excluded from the list of clubs that ECNL should’ve “done the right thing for” and let into ecnl? They’re also a nationwide league and didn’t try to put the ecnl out of business.
That is a question you should ask USYS. If GAL was under the USYS umbrella then their clubs could easily be integrated into a hierarchy. But as it is I’m sure if any clubs in USYS would like to join GAL there is nothing stopping them from doing so.
