During a national emergency certain "contacts" are not legal anymore. For example, you don't have to pay the rent, you can just stop paying and they can not evict you. So no... the argument that "you signed a contract" does not hold.

Just like you signed a contract with credit card and now they are going to stop interest from accruing.

This is why we pay taxes, so during a time of need ... especially for those that have contributed their whole life... there are protections. [/quote]
Exactly. Its absurd that the OP created an innocuous thread asking for what other parents were doing during a global pandemic for an expensive apartment that her child isn't using anymore. And all she gets is abuse by gross slumlords shaming her for looking for solutions. [/quote]
