Makes sense and is a good plan if everything else makes sense. Why wouldn’t the MLS have a play in tourney for local boys non-MLS
Clubs so we can see who can hang on the merits?  Seems like a better answer for everybody, including the MLS teams, who want the best competition. [/quote]

MLS does not like competition and has no interest in admitting teams that can outperform their academies.   Just ask Crossfire, which finished in the first place for two years in a row ahead of four MLS academies, and got relegated to tier 2 of DA. [/quote]
