This is what happened to me too. Filed 2019 taxes in February back before this all blew up and rendered myself ineligible for a stimulus check. Now that you don’t have to pay it back and it’s “free” money (even though it’s obviously costing people like me in the long term) it’s definitely frustrating that doing the right thing and getting my taxes in well before the filing deadline cost me. Yeah, $1200 or $2400 isn’t significant, but it’s still money. Annoying, for sure. [/quote]

Omg get over yourself already! If you make above the stimulus income threshold, you are already doing really well. It is so selfish and shortsighted for you to complain about not getting a check when you already are earning so much. GTFOH with your phony victimhood![/quote]

I never said I’m not doing well. I do fine for myself and don’t NEED the money. It is just silly and disappointing that someone in my exact situation who hasn’t  filed 2019 taxes yet would get it. That’s all I’m saying. [/quote]

OP here. I totally get where you're coming from. If you are just over the eligibility mark and have kids, there is still legitimate use for the money, though maybe not dire.[/quote]
