I think this is bringing out the hall monitors, but also that some folks are really struggling to manage their anxiety. Yes, it makes you nervous to see people in public even if they are following the stay-at-home order. That's a feeling, not a fact, and other people are allowed to go about their lives within the letter of the law even if it gives you feelings.
I don't get anxious, I get annoyed at people who think the guidelines don't apply to them. The 6 foot guideline is for when you *don't have a choice* but to be near someone outside your household. Like if you have to pick up a medication from the pharmacy. Intentional, prolonged social interactions are not supposed to be happening. There is some research showing that the virus may spread further than 6 feet. To intentionally hang out around other people puts increases the chances of this continuing to spread. Selfish people who can't just make the sacrifices needed right now will be the reason this drags on and on.
I am annoyed at people who keep insisting that their interpretation of guidelines are the actual law. If it isn’t specifically prohibited it’s allowed. Grow up.
