From a locked thread: Comment 1 *** The larger point is that we aren’t throwing out capitalism. That clip is one we all saw. It changes nothing about my vote for Bloomberg. You missed the larger point: “I can’t think of an easier way to get Donald Trump re-elected than listening to this conversation. This is ridiculous.” Still open to Bloomberg and Warren, doesn’t matter who is first or last as long as they are together!! *** Comment 2 *** Sanders is not throwing out capitalism either. If Bloomberg came prepared like the rest of the candidates he would understand that. Buttigieg attacked Sanders based on financial viability of his policies. Others attacked him based on their perceived unpopularity. Bloomberg should have delved more into how easy it would be to reelect Trump with Sanders because of the anticipated unpopularity of Sanders' policies. Ignorant flaming accusations do not help the party. They don't even help the candidates unless his name is Trump. Bloomberg should do his homework before the next debate and come prepared to attack Sanders based on what Sanders actually believes not what Bloomberg (and Trump) hope Sanders believes. *** I’m the PP who supports Bloomberg and I agree with the entire point you’re making. And when he says no one is throwing out capitalism, I do believe that means no one is suggesting we not have it - that includes Sanders. Yes, Bloomberg absolutely should strengthen his argument and position in the manner you’re suggesting and I hope he will as he receives critical feedback in the coming weeks. and not even attempt to pick up the MSM narrative or play into the game. That is what distinguishes him from the rest, to me at least. Aside from $60B in clean money vs Trump’s dirty $3-10$B
Bloomberg’s fortune is not clean. He earned it flogging those stupid data terminals to banker fat cats who live off of fees and charges made to our savings and 401k accounts
