Will there be any MCPS leadership there? I went to one a few months ago, run by some consultant they hired, and no one from the Board of Ed was there, nor any high-ranking MCPS officials. When has any actual leadership ever attended a public forum. I went for fifteen minutes tonight but couldn't stand the Soviet era rules. I have been observing Mr. Smith's attendance -- and I am not aware of a public meeting where he has actually be present (besides press conferences), particularly after Damascus incident. Tonight he came via taped video message. He sometimes sends Ms. Navarro. Will someone please correct me? Please provide time and place and some sort of evidence of his attendance in the past year to a public forum. Derrick Smith (MCPS' very talented flak) -- here's your chance to actually answer a question and not spin...
I said this up thread. As a parent, I saw this after the Rockville HS case and then again after Damascus. This is the way Jack Smith rolls. There is zero interest in actually hearing what parents have to say. It is all about appearances and pretending to hold meetings that really mean nothing.
