[/quote] OP "bad news" may not necessarily be bad if there are solutions available - they take you closer to your goal :) I tried using OPKs at 41 for 3 months before getting tests done at the recommendation of my OB. one of the tests was an HSG that showed one tube was blocked. The technician doing the test mentioned that sometimes HSG clears the tubes (not the blocked one but the other) and many women conceive if they try that cycle. I brushed that away focusing more on the "bad news" that one tube was blocked but did try that cycle anyway and lo and behold had indeed conceived when i went back to the doctor to review all the test results.
