Hi. OP back, bumping my own thread. I'm not pregnant yet. We are trying for our third and I'm feeling so discouraged. First two were conceived easily. Anec-data appreciated to get me out of my bad mood. I'm going to the doctor next month, and I'm terrified of getting bad news.
After TTC for a year with no success, we got tested when I was 34. I was so anxious about getting tested and the whole process of fertility treatments. The tests revealed I have significantly diminished ovarian reserve. I was devastated. I thought I would never be able to conceive. I kept reading stories online of people who tried fertility treatments for years with no success. Then I got pregnant on my second IUI. Yes, there are no guarantees with fertility treatments. But when I started looking at fertility clinic data (e.g. SART), it turns out most people who get treatment do actually have babies. And fast forward to my prenatal yoga classes and mom's groups and nearly half of my fellow moms also got fertility treatments to conceive. It's really common to need treatment to conceive. Don't be scared of it. It's an annoying and anxiety-inducing process, but then it's done and more likely than not you'll get the baby you are yearning for.
