I’m in Bethesda and I see rain all day and then scattered thunderstorms during trick or treat time. I know everyone’s saying “bring an umbrella or wear a poncho like we always did” but I grew up here and I don’t remember it raining anytime I’ve trick or treated as a kid myself or with my own kids. I’ve definitely never carried an umbrella or worn anything other than a sweatshirt when I look at past photos.
What about when we had the Halloween hurricane a few years ago? Went up.the coast and hit New York. It was in 2011. We still had tricker or treaters, just not as many.
I do remember us wondering whether we’d go or not that day, a tree had gone through our kitchen window the day before , but at the time of trick or treating it wasn’t actively raining just a bunch of puddles for us so most of the neighborhood was out.
