I'm team OP on the original issue. Since there was a long line, it doesn't make sense to hold everyone up over a single order of fries. But I would also say name-calling and cruel comments (both sides) are not okay.
Um, the fries are the best part! Very few people would just drive off knowingly not having their whole order. Besides, at McD’s if it will take a while, they direct you to one of the parking spots and bring it out to you. It’s not like they were going to hold up the line for 10 minutes or something.
Yup, fries are the best part. You never want to be shorted on fries. McDonalds always has a line and like PP says they have special parking for order issues.
I know everyone is having fun piling on and I hate to interrupt, but it kind of sounds like they wanted OP'S husband to pull off to the side and he refused, insisting to stay put. OP?
OP said she wanted to “drive off,” not pull forward into the waiting spot. Most likely he took a minute when they handed him the food to check the order, and when he saw they forgot a fry, he had to wait until the worker came back to the window to ask for it, then had to wait a moment for them to get another fry. OP didn’t want to wait for him to ask for it, she wanted him to just leave without it. You can’t pull into the waiting area if they don’t even know you’re waiting for something, and you’re not supposed to pull into that spot unless the worker asks you to, because if you pull into that spot, someone has to take he time to leave the building and bring you your food.
