Any brave DCUMers out there who are willing to admit that they have cut their long hair, found themselves missing it and started making snide comments about other women with long hair? My sister admits to this. She and her husband divorced. He loved, loved, loved her long hair. She cut it off in an attempt to become the "new her." She hated it and started making rude comments about others with long hair. That shit doesn't fly in our family and we called her on it. She admitted what she was doing and why. I give her lots of credit for that. I wonder if anyone else has experienced that and if so, are you brave enough to admit it?
Opposite. I’m 41. My hair is still as thick and shiny as it was in my 20s. It’s glossy dark brown. I kept it past my bra strap until recently. Now it is a few inches past my shoulders and it looks so much nicer in pictures. I wish I had done it earlier. What triggered it for me was seeing a 50-something woman in my office with thick, shiny shampoo commercial hair to her waist. If didn’t look professional or age appropriate. She looked like she was trying too hard. It was a wake up call for me.
Of course it is....
