Not all of the students living at the Greentree Shelter have “dangerous” backgrounds. Some arrive with families fleeing domestic violence situations or extreme financial hardship. It’s entirely possible that this person had no prior record at all. And while his actions were nowhere near justifiable, please also consider that Whitman is not innocent of racist incidents so until more information is released it’s not helpful to go nuclear on the attacker. It must be extremely difficult to come from the background he did, to a school like Whitman which is filled with wealthy entitled kids, some of whom throw the N-word around without thinking twice. So you get to stereotype and profile whitman kids but anybody who does it in the opposite direction is racist. Got it
