Kirkland organic eggs have a certified humane seal which means that independent certification ensures that each hen has at least 108 sq feet of outdoor space. The certified organic just means they are given organic feed. Prior to 2016 they were just organic, called "cage-free" which has multiple vague meanings and often similarly sourced as cheaper eggs. The current ones are not as good as buying from a reputable local farm/farmer's market but they do ensure hens had access to adequate outdoor space. Any consumer may or may not decide that's worth paying more. [/quote]
