Then I started to research the doctrine of tithing and found this to be a 20th century invention. Priests are men, financial decisions are by men Again and again there is the theme that the congratulation needs to take care of widows, orphans, homeless and poor. A church should not accept money from a struggling single parent, but should be there for those people[/quote]
