Unfortunately, many young men of color have been arrested for petty non-violent stuff —often not even charged, but now they have a mug shot. A white friend spent a year and $25k trying to get her college age son’s mug shot off the web. He wasn’t charged, but his name is distinctive enough to bring it up every time. After she paid a company, it is now pushed down about 9 pages and most casual searchers won’t look that far.[/quote]
