1. I’m not perfect or a saint. I only ask that people accept the dogmas and teachings of the Church if they’re going to call themselves Catholic. 2. The Pope can not change Tradition. Tradition is immutable, like God Himself. The Pope can clarify things, but once the Church has defined something there can be no more addition. As Vatican 1 states “For the Holy Spirit was promised to the successors of Peter not so that they might, by his revelation, make known some new doctrine, but that, by his assistance, they might religiously guard and faithfully expound the revelation or deposit of faith transmitted by the apostles” The Church can never contradict itself( if it did, there would be no reason to be Catholic) The idea that theology evolves was condemned by Pope Pius X. In Christ SSPX poster
ad1. Give it time, most of the saints were pretty mean people before they changed  ad2. Nobody can change Tradition that is in the past. However new tradition is created every single day. Seems that you can not grasp the concept of Church's Tradition. If you take away the Traditon all you have left is a New Testament. So everything else is tradition. Dogmas, Rites and the whole Cannon Law. It can not only be changed but is being changed all the time. Otherwise the Church would be in the same form as it was during the first days, so even your beloved Latin mass would be a no go because when you think hard you can clearly envision that Church that Jesus established during the Last Supper did NOT speak Latin but Hebrew. And on and on.. So you either give Jesus the right to give a Pope to change things hance the keys = authority. Or you deny it. If you deny it then do not cite any Popes here who created any rules post Jesus because you can not cherry pick. That is what you want the DCUMers do right? Take it as it was originally, adhere to it, no changes. ad3. What do you mean by Chruch can never contradict itself? Well, if you think that it does not then please do elaborate how all the sexual abuse cover ups settle to you in the face of what Jesus said "whatever you did to the least of them you did to me?" If the actions do not contradict the teachings then you have bigger problem then you think you do. I strongly encourage you to hit the books because you clearly could benefit from learning the History of the Catholic Church one book or another or take good solid course. Not a judgmental one but just simple facts. You acuse DCUMers of not being current on their faith, but you are on the other hand making statements that show elementary lack of basic historical facts (as officially approved by Church, not some conspiracy theories). Please read about how very little it took to split a church into Western and Orthodox.. you must know that all it took was the meaning of two like-sounding words.. that little.. You should learn about the early form of the church, about the roles of early church figures, about the persecution of early Christianity and about the Persecution of non believers and heretics , about all sects, about the martyrs, and about saints.. Then come back here and we can talk some more. Ask yourself questions about people like Tertulian, St. Francis, St. Thomas Aquinas, Martin Luther and see where your black and white thinking will take you.. it is pretty fascinating moral journey to make. Not all that is black will end up so and not all that is white will remain. Of course I do not encourage you to neither question anything nor do any independent thinking because God forbid you might became a better Catholic after that. I don't think you truly understand what Catholicism is and was. Not my intention to lead you away from your faith but if you want to convert others, then I suggest you first do your homework and try to learn to be more like Jesus.
