Beat me to it.  I would assume anyone advocating for open borders has:

- No locks on their doors
- No fence around their yard
- No password on their wifi (it's the owners' fault if it slows down!)
- No issues with strangers camping in their yard or sleeping on their couch.  
- No issues with people picking their flowers, eating vegetables in their garden, etc.

This is the problem with NIMBYism.  Concepts like open borders sound great until you deal with the pragmatic realities.  The EU has open borders within, but absolutely does not have open borders with the rest of the world.  [/quote]

I live in Montgomery County and see on a daily basis what illegal immigration has done to my previously solid Middle class neighborhood.  Easy to advocate for illegal immigration when you only benefit from it (cheap labor for your landscaping and child care and housecleaning needs).  Harder when it affects your kids’ schools.[/quote]
