Most kids like this are in self contained gifted classes, in private school, homeschooled, doing online school, or grade skipped by a few grades. Being mind numbingly bored for 7 hours each day isn't good for anyone. Most teachers would not be okay with having a kid sit there learning nothing all day because she is leagues beyond any other kid they've ever taught. I find it astonishing that the psychologists who tested her and her teachers didn't have suggestions as to how her educational needs might be met. I doubt they all thought that a kid who is such an outlier would be fine in a mainstream classroom. [/quote]
