Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, Columbus Day, heck even July 4 has recently become fraught. Either whatever it is is worth celebrating or its not. And if it is then its worth not diluting its meaning to the point of nothingness. I really don't care one way or another, but as other people mentioned, if there was something like this for Veteran's Day no one would put with something like this. Of course the day celebrating moms gets diluted and spread out to every person under the son, just like a mom herself![/quote]
