So who is the most persecuted group in the world today? Not in 1941, not in 1960, now? And can we have one for racial and one for religious reasons? Is it Muslims? Sikhs? Jews? I think it is Orthodox Christians. Please explain why I am wrong? So I don't mess up the trade with the Middle East? Is that why newspapers barely report about it? Funny how Protestants don't count Orthodox Christians as Christians. Nothing changed since the crusades.
Are you citing 1941 to try to discredit the notion that Jews today continue to be targeted? That's shameful. Globally, I don't know, but in the US Jews experience more hate crimes per capita than any other minority group, according to the FBI. That is NOW, not in 1941 or 1960. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/fbi-hate-crimes-up-new-data-shows-rise-in-anti-semitic-hate-crimes/ Oh -- we're also the most targeted minority group in Canada, on a per capita basis. https://www.jpost.com/Diaspora/Antisemitism-rises-in-Canada-Jews-remain-most-targeted-minority-group-573302
You are citing hate crimes, not religious persecution. For all your yelling about it, you never even lived in Europe or anywhere else than the US. Who has attacked you personally? Your suffering is not even close to the suffering of many other groups today. And weirdly, let's talk about Jewish persecution of Palestinians, how is it that nobody is allowed to talk about it? You are not persecuted in the US. The end. You face a hate crime here and there and enjoy state supported religious freedom and have enjoyed it for over 100 years.
Ok, I'm going to take your points one by one: 1. Hate crimes are one form of religious persecution. They are literally crimes done out of HATRED for a particular group (religious, racial, ethnic, etc.). Jews are victims of hate crimes (aka a form of religious persecution) more often than any other group, per capita. Are you unaware of the cases in which we have been GUNNED DOWN while praying? You are so dismissive by saying "you face a hate crime here and there." 2. How do you know where I've lived? I am from the US, but have lived in Russia and Thailand. Don't assume things about me. 3. I HAVE been attacked personally for being a Jew, and on multiple occasions, including in the US. My family members escaped pogroms in Russia and Ukraine. Again -- don't make assumptions about me.
NP here, Jewish persecution pales in its comparison of its persecution to Palestinians. Quite frankly, it’s appalling that Western jewish people can fight for the civil rights of LGBT and wholly ignore the Palestianian persecution in Israel.
Yep, we are supposed to support the Palestinians, who lost a war, and then regularly launch rockets at Israeli civilians. There are no good guys in that conflict. The dems and Republicans have brainwashed people into picking "their" side.
I’m the PP who talked about assumptions and here’s one more: I don’t ignore persecution of Palestinians. I won’t set foot in Israel in large part because of the Israeli government’s treatment of Palestinians. But sure — let’s make assumptions about what I think.
