[/quote] Yes there is: 26 U.S. Code § 6103 The law mandates that the Treasury secretary "shall furnish" the tax returns of any individual for private review by the chairmen of the House and Senate tax committees. It is a pretty straight forward no matter what your layperson opinion thinks.[/quote]
