My huge pet peeve is people that stay on weight/circuit stations FOREVER without really using them. They'll sit down and pull out their phone and check it for 10 minutes, do a 1 minute set, play on the phone for another 10 minutes, do another 1 minute set and so on. Meanwhile it's the only machine of its kind in the entire gym and they just kept 10 other people from using it. While barely using it themselves. I wish we could ban phone use from the gym, other than for music purposes. I hate the guys (it's always guys) who drop weights really loudly. If you're strong enough to pick it up, you're strong enough to put it down. dropping the weights makes the floor shake (which is weird when you're on a nearby cardio machine) and it's really noisy. Last, the people who stroll into a crowded yoga class 10 minutes late drive me nuts. Especially when they are regulars who do this EVERY WEEK. The class starts at 10:15 every Sunday, dude. And it's a full class, so then 6 people have to get out of a pose to move their mats for you. Just come 5 minutes before class next time so we can all set up our mats appropriately with enough space for everyone. Oh, and there is this random woman who comes to all my yoga classes and then does whatever she feels like. She'll follow the teacher for about 2 minutes and then start doing completely different stuff. It's really distracting. she's not very good at it either- her form is bad - and I kind of want to say, "you know if you actually did what the teacher showed us, you would learn more poses instead of doing the same 4 or 5 over and over again, badly." I MMOB though. (she's also rude to teachers, so I don't feel bad about judging her.)
