While I recognize that SOMEONE will have to move because the county chose to expand that school, [b]I know any part of NW or CL that gets moved will lose 10%+ of home value[/b].... so I hope it's not my neighborhood.  I am debating whether to sell preemptively and move, or wait it out and hope we are not touched.  We live in the part of NW that was not originally part of the boundary study, and was recently added.  I fear the worst.

Frankly, given that all three schools offer different focus programs, ideally they should form a DCC-type conglamerate, so students who want cybersecurity can attend CL, students who wants biomed and AP Phys C can attend NW, and students who would benefit from vocational training (and we have many of those students!  These are great programs) can attend SV.  I think that approach would keep up the real estate prices more or less even, too.[/quote]

Also, there is no part of Northwest that was "not originally part of the boundary study", since the boundary study was always going to include the entire Northwest cluster, the entire Seneca Valley cluster, and the entire Clarksburg cluster. The scope was changed to include all of the middle schools in all 3 clusters, instead of just the middle schools in the Seneca Valley cluster.[/quote]

What, you don't think that 10% home value reduction in NW- and CL-assigned homes that will get re-assigned to SV is true?  Someone is going to get hit.  Of course I hope it's not our neighborhood.[/quote]
