If God thinks homosexual sex is a sin, why did he create people who are born gay?
Why did God create Satan if he knew what Satan was going to do? This is the $60K question, imo. It all stems from this one question.
There is actually some debate about whether there is a “Satan,” that is, a being of pure evil that exists to torment humans and bring their downfall. There are some Bible verses, like in the book of Job, where it seems that Satan is there more to test people than be actively evil.
There are NT bible passages about casting out demons, as in evil spirits, as in the followers of Satan. Even Jesus casted out demons. Regardless, the question remains.. "why did God create Satan if he knew that Satan was going to fall"? If this question can be answered, I think so too will a multitude of other questions. Why did God create people with hot tempers, greed, lust, etc... ?
My understanding is that anything God created with consciousness had to have free will- i.e. the ability to make choices, else they would be robots. Could a conflict free universe have been created? Perhaps. It's not really something I worry about.
