There are NT bible passages about casting out demons, as in evil spirits, as in the followers of Satan.  Even Jesus casted out demons.

Regardless, the question remains.. "why did God create Satan if he knew that Satan was going to fall"?  If this question can be answered, I think so too will a multitude of other questions.

My understanding is that anything God created with consciousness had to have free will- i.e. the ability to make choices, else they would be robots.

Could a conflict free universe have been created?  Perhaps.  It's not really something I worry about.[/quote]
