Professional hoplophobe organizers with solid financing and years of organizing experience started the movement you erroneously attribute to young Mr. Hogg.  They seized upon him, upon that mass shooting, as a useful vehicle to advance their agenda.

Whether he is or isn't Harvard material is not mine to say.  You have swallowed the comforting meme that those protests were a "teenager-led movement."

They were not.    And maybe, intuiting he couldn't get into a Status Farm University any other way, he did something to "distinguish" himself.  Provide a vehicle to professional organizers, be their figure head, for something that advanced their cause.[/quote]
