Particularly given what we know about "high performing" schools and race/income. If your argument is "it will be hard for them so we shouldn't do it," then you are effectively saying that poor Black and brown kids are better off staying in lower-performing schools, which is just another way of saying that magnets should be for rich white/Asian kids.
