honest and non-rhetorical question. Is there any legit good hot food bars? All the ones i've been to are way too expensive 8-9 dollars/lb and not good.
true, but WF has a unique way of making all of their food extra, extra heavy, causing it to weigh more, therefore cost much more than it should at whatever their price is. I've taken the smallest of portions , think one bite sized piece and it would still cost what a cheeseburger, fries and coke would cost at McDonalds. It used to be better.
So true. Years ago, I was consistently able to make a WF salad for about $5. Now a salad that's mostly green foliage with a few toppings is $10-$15. What the heck? I avoid the hot food bar, because it's mostly garbage dishes that you can tell by looking is mostly heavy sauce. Like, I can make my own macaroni and cheese. I don't need to pay $8 for a couple of spoonfuls from Whole Foods. The pasta dishes are the worst. Noodles are my comfort food, but I have to remind myself that I can make my own for about a dollar, or just go to an actual ramen restaurant if I need to pay $15 for a bowl of noodles.
