Has anyone heard much about this? I cannot believe they would consider closing a highway ramp for any reason. We need better access to the highway, not worse. https://wtop.com/dc-transit/2018/07/mclean-residents-push-for-va-beltway-on-ramp-closure/slide/1/
If you are against this proposal-PLEASE attend the meeting on 8/2!
You're from Maryland and use the McLean backroads to get home every night, don't you? I am definitely FOR this proposal and plan to attend.
You clearly have no need to be in Maryland between 1-7. Others do. It will just create the same backlogs elsewhere. I don't understand why they don't try other, more sane measures first.
Just like the people who are affected in Virginia don't understand why the Marylanders involved don't drive in a sane manner.
You mean driving like slowpokes? Or brake to change lane? No, thank you.
That's really off-topic. If you had any idea of what the traffic on Georgetown Pike/495N on ramp is like M-F afternoon, you would know that's a nonsensical statement. Nobody is going any faster than walking speed within 750 yards of the on ramp.
